Privacy & cookies

This site does not set tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies, and stores nothing in your browser's local storage for those purposes. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, the ePrivacy/PECR rules that require a cookie-consent banner don't apply — so there isn't one.

We measure traffic with Glue, our own self-hosted, cookieless analytics. When you load a page, your browser sends a single, anonymous pageview. There is no cookie and no identifier stored on your device.

To group pageviews into a rough “visit” we derive a session key on the server from a salted hash of your IP address, your browser's user-agent, and the current calendar day. That input rotates every 24 hours, so the same visitor is a different, unlinkable session tomorrow — there is no long-term profile and no cross-site tracking. We do not store your raw IP address. What we keep is aggregate: pageviews, sessions, referrers, and coarse country / browser / device counts.

If you subscribe, we store the email address (and optional name) you give us to send occasional product updates. We process it through Glue and never sell or share it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete you at any time.

eidan is built so that, once you self-host it, your operational data lives in a database you control — not with us. For the data this marketing site does hold (newsletter records), you can ask us to access, correct, or delete it. Email privacy@eidan.dev.
